In its second completely virtual edition, the awards give students the opportunity to compete across several traditional categories, including safety, communications, technical innovation, and vehicle design for Urban Concept and Prototype. In 2021, we introduced two more categories: the Data and Telemetry Award, and the Simulate to Innovate Award sponsored by Altair.
There was a fantastic response to the competition this year; and despite the ongoing challenging circumstances, we received over 400 entries, more than double the submissions than in previous years from teams across 37 countries.
The winners were announced in three Virtual Off-Track Awards ceremonies live on YouTube. Europe and Africa Off-Track Awards took place on Tuesday, April 6, the Americas announcement on Monday, April 12 and the Asia Pacific and Middle East winners were revealed on Friday, April, 16, 2021. In case you missed these live shows, don’t worry you can still catch up and meet the winners. Scroll down for details.
