I’m impressed with the team’s knowledge of Shell Eco-marathon technology, which they clearly demonstrated in the quiz. The creativity and the professionalism of all Shell Eco-marathon participants is truly inspiring. And I’m sure you will experience a higher energy efficiency in the millage challenge and the competitive speed performance in the championships. And then, at the physical events, you will rock the track.

It was an absolute delight to engage with all your bright minds, who resonated to the Shell.ai challenge on autonomous vehicles. I was truly amazed by the creativity you all brought in, not just in terms of the pitch videos but also in the (?) cases identified. The way those proposals were backed by robust and mature AI models in such short span of time, was commendable.

While I have an eye on the virtual league table, I’m excited and curious with my first-row seat to witness what Shell Eco-marathon students achieve next season. I’ll see you all there.

A challenge set to improve the performance of control software for a baseline simulated autonomous vehicle (AV)

25 teams had to develop path planning, perception and control algorithms for a virtual AV using Robotic Operating Systems and code-tested in a simulated environment

Showing a big leap towards mastering advanced autonomy – never seen in past competitions!

Challenge ourselves into developing more technological and efficient solutions and to continue paving the way for other Peruvian teams to be part of these kind of initiatives.

We aim to improve the overall performance of our prototype while reducing the environmental impact of all the processes the team performs. We plan to do this mainly by optimising the (?) to reduce the amount of materials, pollutants and to offer simpler and more sustainable manufacturing processes.

To develop energy efficient and sustainable car. Also, increase social awareness about eco-development in the future.
