Every year, over 300 student teams from around the world come together to compete in Shell Eco-marathon. Here is a small selection of the brilliant young minds tackling the energy optimisation challenge.

At the heart of Shell Eco-marathon lies an age-old problem that, if solved, will have long-lasting implications for us all: how can we travel as far as possible using as little energy as possible? Tasked with creating a vehicle that can test this theory, students embark on a journey that will push their design, technology and engineering skills to the limit, through challenger competitions, regional programmes, and world championships.

Student teams embody the true Shell Eco-marathon spirit, pushing the boundaries of energy optimisation through their creativity, hard work and collaboration beyond their classrooms and onto the tracks. Read more about these incredible young people and how their teams from different parts of the world are working towards building a lower carbon future.
